Teachers at all grade levels (K-12)
Description of Schools: Stockton Collegiate International Schools will open in September 2010 in downtown Stockton. We are pursuing authorization from the International Baccalaureate for the Primary Years Program (grades K-5), Middle Years Program (grades 6-10) and Diploma Program (grades 11-12).
Positions Available:
K-5: 12 positions, Multiple Subject
6-12: 15 positions, Single Subject including English, History, Mathematics, World
Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Visual Arts, Music, Physical Education
Minimum Qualifications: All teachers in core subjects must have a valid California teaching credential and must meet NCLB Highly Qualified criteria.
Preferred Qualifications: We are eager to welcome those of you who are passionate about teaching, passionate about young people, passionate about your subject area, and passionate about helping students find their passion! We are looking for individuals who:
- are able to design and implement curricula which place students at the center and emphasize inquiry and problem-solving
- are interested in collaborative teaching and learning
- have an appreciation for, and a meaningful understanding of, international-mindedness in thought and in action
- are credentialed in more than one subject area
- embrace and practice the characteristics of the IB Learner Profile and who are themselves life-long learners
