David Roylance is seeking a position as a school-based IB Diploma Program coordinator or central office coordinator with expertise in establishing and maintaining Diploma programs within a school district.

My wife and I are planning to relocate to north-central California to be closer to family. Presently I am the IB Diploma coordinator at J.E.B. Stuart High School, a Fairfax County (Virginia) Public School, located just west of Washington, DC.

As Stuart's original DP coordinator, I've been a part of the evolution of our program from the early '90's through the present. During a leave-of-absence from 2000 through 2005, I helped establish the Diploma Program at another Fairfax County high school, and also served as an authorized IBNA consultant to several other schools in the North American region as they affiliated with the IB.

As a workshop trainer for DP coordinators since the late '90's, I've had the pleasure of working with many educators as they have prepared to navigate their respective school staffs and students through the challenging, yet rewarding IB Diploma process. I've been especially impressed with the quality and enthusiasm of the California prospective coordinators that I've met in training sessions I've done for the California Association of IB World Schools (formerly CIBO) ever since this organization has been sponsoring such workshops.

I would very much appreciate the opportunity to continue my association and work with the IB among the many professional educators and good friends in California as Nancy and I settle closer to our daughter's growing family!
