NEW WAYS OF THINKING FOR NEW WORLDS

The Horton Grand Hotel in the historic Gaslamp District of San Diego will be the site of our Spring Seminar on February 22, 2010 beginning at 7am. Early registration is available February 21st from 5:30 to 6:30pm giving you ample time to explore the nearby gaslamp area and savor its atmosphere and energy. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Jerry Chris, a longtime California IB TOK teacher and published author, will present Differentiation, Brain Research, and the Learner Profile. How can we turn words on a page into actions that lead students to new ways of thinking in the 21st century? We are delighted to be able to showcase Dr. Chris as he continues the discussions we began at the Fall Forum. The three breakout sessions will focus on best practices in differentiation and then sharing those with the larger group as we make connections linking the DP, MYP, and the PYP. The day will continue with our second annual presentation of scholarships to teachers, a short business meeting and finally roundtables discussing "Gaining insight into the three IB Programmes", (the nuts and bolts).
