Welcome to the CAWS website!

CAWS is a non-profit association of public and private IB World Schools located in the states of California, Hawai`i and Nevada. Presently there are 132 authorized schools, 49 in candidate status and 66 more showing interest in one or more of the three IB Programmes in those three states. Our goal is to help schools be successful as they pursue the IB and provide them with a network for collaboration. CAWS has sponsored successful legislation in California to provide funding for IB teacher training, and worked with the UC University system to award college credits to graduating IB high school seniors. Additionally CAWS provides authorized IB teacher training workshops for Diploma teachers as well as for Primary and Middle School teachers. Our website can provide you with a wealth of information about the IB and our schools.
